Police Chief Robert Dalton

​Chief Robert Dalton began his career in law enforcement in 2002 after graduating from Angelo State University. Chief Dalton served as a U.S. Border Patrol Agent and as a Police Officer with the San Angelo Police Department before beginning work with the Clyde Police Department in 2007. Chief Dalton served as a patrol officer, investigator, and Sergeant, before taking over as Police Chief in 2013. Chief Dalton currently teaches criminal justice classes on a part-time bases at Clyde High School and is a former member of the Clyde Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Sergeant David Wood

David L. Wood, who is an Abilene native, is the Sergeant Investigator for the Clyde Police Department. His primary function is the follow up investigation of all reported criminal offenses that occur within the city limits of Clyde. Wood also assits with the supervision of the Patrol Division and other administrative duties as assigned. Wood has 22 years of full-time paid experience as a Police Officer, and holds a Master Peace Officer certification from the TX Commission on Law Enforcement. Wood, and his wife Gloria, reside in Clyde.

Administrator Toni Dalton

Toni ​Dalton serves as the Secretary for the Clyde Police Department. She graduated from Clyde High School in 1993, and has been working for the City of Clyde for the past eight years.
