Maintenance Worker I (2 positions available)

Performs a variety of unskilled or semi-skilled maintenance work, and operates a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of City water, sewer, street, and storm drainage facilities and systems.
Inspects and/or repairs chlorine machine, booster pumping stations, reservoir, meters, streets, drainage systems and sewer system at frequent intervals to insure that all aspects of the systems are functioning properly.
Maintains a variety of records relating to inspections, maintenance activity, water supply, consumption, etc.
Insures the proper maintenance of equipment and tools by cleaning and checking equipment and tools after use.
Drives trucks of various sizes and weights in the loading, hauling and unloading of various equipment, gravel and sand.

Graduation from high school education or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Some knowledge of equipment, facilities, materials, methods and procedures used in maintenance, construction and repair activities.
Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time; ability to work safely, ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments and the public; ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
Valid State Driver's License and CDL certification, or ability ot obtain one.

$11/hour plus benefit package which include vacation/sick leave, insurance, retirement.
Hours as determined by department director.

Park Maintenance Worker I  (1 position available)
Is responsible for upkeep and operation of city vehicles such as tractors, mowers, weed eaters, backhoe, trucks, and any other equipment that may be necessary to operate in Parks Department.
Mows, weed eats, and picks up trash in the City Park.
Maintains the playground equipment at City Park.
Mows and weed eats right of ways, ditches, city yard, vacant lots, alleys and cemetery.
Helps Public Works with water leaks, sewer stops and paving streets when needed.
Is on call for after hour and weekend rounds and emergency calls pertaining to Public Works.

Must have high school diploma or GED.
Must have and maintain a state driving license.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
Ability to work with angry or difficult customers.

$11/hour plus benefit package which include vacation/sick leave, insurance, retirement.
Hours as determined by department director.

Library Circulation Assistant Part-Time

Will work 32 hours per pay period and other hours as required. Computer skills required, patron friendly, checks materials in/out, re-shelves items and collects fees. Assists with Library programs as assigned. High School or GED required.
